(Funk Flex Bomb here). Here is a reissue of 2013’s LaFleur Edits Vol.1, which packs in absolute heaters guaranteed to turn up the next dancelfoor you find yourself working. David A-P AKA Guy LaFleur, alongside Todd Weston, are the masterminds behind behind Detorit’s Hot Pot, and this disco-funk edit white label opens with a slightly house-fied version of The Undisputed Truth’s "Make Your Own Heaven.” Up next is the equally mad, boogie-injected take on Herp Albert’s “Rise,” with things taking a more low-key (but still fire) turn with a subtle shakeup of Jose James’ “Detroit Love Letters.” Will def. come in handy if you keep this one in your record bag!
