Prince directing and starring in a movie about gigolos & wealthy French women… Despite the promising premise, Under The Cherry Moon was a flop. The music, however, was not, and Parade, which is credited to Prince And The Revolution, gave birth to “Kiss,” an absolute masterpiece of a pop tune that continues to occupy all types of playlists in addition to destroying dancefloor. The pop rock/post-disco/psych soul/jazz funk album also includes “Boys & Girls,” “Sometimes It Snows In April,” and “Do U Lie,” and this is the remastered reissue that comes in a gatefold cover w/ printed inner sleeve w/ photo montage and credits.
