DeVotchKa consists of Nick Urata, Tom Hangerman, Jeanie Schroder, and Shawn King, and How It Ends is the Denver, Colorado group's 4th album. Getting its start as a backing band for burlesque shows, the group mixes Greek, Slavic, Bolero, and Mariachi music with punk and folk, as is the case for the fusion sound characterizes this 2004 14-tracker. Highlights include: "Charlotte Mittnacht (The Fabulous Destiny Of...)," "You Love Me," "The Enemy Guns," "Dearly Departed," and of course, the instantly recognizable "How It Ends," which was used in the movie Little Miss Sunshine.
