5th studio album from Canada's Tegan And Sara. The Con was recorded in Portland, Oregon and the identical twins originally released it in 2007. Most of the materials on the 14-tracker were written while the sisters were going through relationship issues and personal losses, and despite the heavy presence of catchy melodies, fun hooks, and pleasant vocal layering, the sadness seeps through. And that balance between bright and dark is the main draw of The Con, check out: "Back In Your Head," "Nineteen," "Call It Off," "Soil, Soil" the '80s-channeling "Hop A Plane," and the title track.
