Turbulent times lead Aesop Rock to leave San Francisco, and the indie hip-hop hero checked into a friend's barn in the woods (Washington). It was there the gist of The Impossible Kid was completed. His first solo venture since 2012's Skelethon, Aes opens up about his personal life and raps about topics like depression and his relationship with his family. As is the case w/ his previous projects, he handled every aspect of The Impossible Kid, from the production (Philly's Grimace Federation helped) to conceptualizing the gnarly cover art, which his friend Alex Pardee illustrated. Check out "Mystery Fish," "Dorks," "Rings," and "Shrunk," this is the green & pink vinyl 2LP pressing w/ custom die-cut jacket, 3"x4" double-sided fold out poster, two illustrated record sleeves, full album lyrics, and free digital download card.
