On Expectations, the second release from the Aussie producer, hypnotic & funky grooves are gently rubbed against twinkling, jazz-informed synth work, rendering loose, immensely danceable tracks. Check out the bouncy charm of the chord-driven title track, or the funked out "Clarity," which also features a subtle but memorable horn layer. "Why Look Back?" is another standout, a lowkey burner that should kill on discerning dancefloors.
