Roll down the windows and bump this hot new 7" from The Rugged Nuggets. Ohio based soul-stompin' label Colemine Records doesn't slow down when it comes to releasing fire new releases, and this is one that hits all the right notes hard. "Rugged Walk" is a super laid-back funky cruising jammer, sounding at times like a Budos Band hit, while the flip, "Take Me With You" turns the mellow factor up to 11. I mean damn! With that first note you're in for a melt-y treat. Featuring rhodes (or wurlitzer?), strings, and a tough-as-hell drum line, this song swoons. Perfect for late evenings, lazy afternoons, or any upcoming warm weather shindigs. Recommended.
